Telefon

An object made from found, simple things, salvaged, transformed, reassembled. In the tradition of an art that believes every material already holds a form, an energy, a story waiting inside it, waste and the everyday are given a language of their own here.

The work grows out of a fascination with old technology, its aesthetics, its patina, the promise of inventions long past. At the same time, it carries nostalgia: a longing for a time one may never have lived through, yet whose objects still radiate something familiar.

This creates a tension between memory and presence, between found object and function, a device that looks like a relic, but communicates as something alive.
